From your hotel in Mandalay, our guide and driver will bring you to the country side town of Paleik by nearly 1 hour driving (38km from Mandalay). Along the way you will pass few typical villages and enjoy the nice landscape.
In Paleik temple, you will see the typical Buddha statue encircled by snakes and is the house to a number of pythons. In the Buddhism worship, the statue and also the snakes bring the good luck to the villagers, so they wash Buddha statue and pythons daily. You can also discover some of Ava era temple here which are wrapped by the jungle and vines. It’s truly worth for a visit.
